Merwyn and Pervin Nunes

Merwyn and Pervin Nunes have been the driving force behind Wildersun Safaris for the last 35 years. Through hard work and sheer determination they turned a dream into reality when they jointly established the company in 1980.  They are highly respected in the Tanzania tourism industry, having been actively involved in it for over 40 years. Merwyn was trained in Israel & Germany and worked for the Ministry of Tourism for twelve years. He was the founder Chairman for the Tanzania Association of Tour Operators (TATO). Pervin has an IATA Diploma and spent 12 years in the Airline sector before diverting her talents to Wildersun. Her dedication and attention to detail has earned the company esteem in the industry over the years. Now retired from the managing company operations, they enjoy travelling, entertaining, take part in Trade shows, attend seminars and keep a thumb on the pulse of the business.

Lillian Nunes

Ervin graduated from the College of African Wildlife Management in 1995. After a two-year stint in the wilderness of Tanzania where he worked as a game scout and ranger guide, he joined the family team as a tour officer. Since 2009 he has been responsible for the the company's Operations Department.

Lillian has been the company's General Manager since 2009. She graduated with a Diploma in Administration in 1991 from Kianda College, Nairobi.  She worked with a safari company for eight years before joining Wildersun Safaris in 1999, bringing with her a wealth of experience. As Tours Consultant she excelled in arranging special interest groups and in answering questions to prepare one for that special Tanzanian adventure.

Drivers

Drivers

Our vehicles are driven by driver guides, all with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the field.  They are courteous, knowledgeable, careful and speak English and have had formal training.  Our driver guides are the main element that “make” a Safari.  They are born in Tanzania and harbor a deep sense of love and respect for this beautiful country.  They take great pride in sharing their heritage with their guests, who arrive as visitors but always leave as friends.


Vehicles

The vehicles are specially modified for safaris, and have a pop-up roof and sliding windows, offering unrestricted wildlife viewing and photography.
