Kilimanjaro National Park

Kilimanjaro is Africa’s highest and largest free standing mountain in the world.

To many people conquering its peak is a life time ambition. Six usual trekking routes to the summit and other more demanding mountaineering routes– the Marangu route being the most popular one.  Though the mountain is open all year around, the months of April & May – being the rainy season – are best avoided.  The mountain supports a unique combination of eco-climatic zones, and the ascent of the slopes is a virtual climatic world tour, from the tropics to the Arctic.  There are a number of hotels in Marangu and Moshi Area that accommodate and cater for mountain climbs.
