Lake Manyara National Park has five distinct Vegetation zones. One cannot help feeling dwarfed by the towering Mahogany trees of the ground water forest. The 230 square kms of lake makes Manyara a home to 380 species of bird life.
A game drive is the most common activity in Lake Manyara. In more recent years tourism activities have increased to include guided nature and forest hikes, and cultural tours to the nearby Mto Wa Mbu Village.
The majority of the Lodges in Lake Manyara are all outside the park on the Great Rift Valley wall with fantastic views.
A variety of camping options, from the rustic camping to the high end luxury camping are available. There is always a place for the adventurer.
